Upstate South Carolina Chapter of
Johnson C. Smith University Alumni Association
The Upstate South Carolina Chapter is comprised of Alumni and Friends of Johnson C. Smith University that living in the northwest corner of the State of South Carolina. The Upstate is typically made up of 10 counties: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union. The Upstate is the fastest-growing region in South Carolina; its position between Atlanta and Charlotte, future development and growth prospects are bright.
MISSION
The mission of the Johnson C. Smith University National Alumni Association is to support the University by accomplishing the Association’s objectives and purposes as documented in the NAA Constitution. Those objectives and purposes are to:

MISSION
The mission of the Johnson C. Smith University National Alumni Association is to support the University by accomplishing the Association’s objectives and purposes as documented in the NAA Constitution. Those objectives and purposes are to:
- foster and maintain a strong spirit of loyalty, support and cooperation among the alumni, friends, and former students of the University towards the programs and goals of their Alma Mater
- engender fellowship and a spirit of comradeship among the alumni of the University toward each other
- cultivate, develop, and maintain a strong liaison and spirit of cooperation between the administration of the University and its alumni, former students,
and friends - actively encourage promising students to attend the University by developing, establishing, and providing scholarships, athletic and scholastic, as well as other financial assistance to deserving students
- support the National Pre-Alumni Council and the United Negro College Fund
